For REIMA®, as specialists in professional room fragrancing and fragrance marketing, it goes without saying that the existing room air must first be treated before the fragrance to be used can achieve its beneficial and desired effect. Our high-quality fragrance compositions are not odor maskers and are not suitable for merely concealing or masking unpleasant odors. That is why we rely on the principle of odour neutralization.
For this reason, we have integrated a highly effective odor absorber into almost all of our REIMAROM® fragrance compositions. Due to its reliable effectiveness, it can be described as a true “odour killer”, as it eliminates and neutralizes bad odours. The principle is as simple as it is straightforward, because the effect is not based on a temporary effect of covering up odours, but on lasting and definitive odour neutralization of the surrounding atmosphere. The active ingredient we use and add to the fragrance, OM-Ega 30*, is the zinc salt of natural castor oil acid. The odor molecules are bound to this active ingredient to form a complex and the stink molecules in the air are absorbed. The effectiveness of the product has been proven by an independent study. OM-Ega 30* is also used in many commercially available products and is also a proven ingredient in commercially available body deodorants. The fragrance molecules released at the same time remain unchanged in their structure and can develop their full quality in the purified air.
Which odors can be eliminated with OM-Ega 30* odor absorber?
It removes and absorbs all the main odor-causing stink molecules, i.e. amino nitrogen and hydrogen sulphide molecules, such as those contained in sweat, urine, nicotine, spoiled fish, rotten eggs, etc. and all mercapto-sulphur compounds contained in the smell of garlic, onions, faeces, putrefactive gases and compost gases. All unpleasant, musty and musty odors such as lactic acid, vomit, faeces and smoke odors no longer stand a chance and are removed from the ambient air and from a wide variety of materials (e.g. carpets, upholstery, curtains, floor coverings, wall panels).
Why do REIMAROM® essential fragrance compositions and room fragrances not contain OM-Ega 30* odor absorber?
Essential oils are 100 percent natural and nature, as we all know, has its own laws. The chemical substances in most essential oils are not only beneficial and health-promoting, they also contain a natural odor absorber. Who doesn't know grandma's “smoke eater”, often a lighted owl filled with eucalyptus oil and water. It has even been proven that scenting with essential oils reduces the concentration of bacteria and other pathogens in the air we breathe.
Our REIMAROM® fragrance compositions made from aromas are deliberately not enriched with odor absorbers, as these fragrances serve the sole purpose of product promotion or atmospheric room scenting. For these compositions, we only use aromas that are also used in food production. For example, a delicious chocolate, cake, Christmas or strawberry fragrance, even a spicy kitchen herb fragrance, consists only of selected, natural food aromas.
